§ 20-62. Auction for disposal of property.

Pursuant to Wis. Stats. § 66.0139, the police department shall hold an auction to dispose of any property which has been abandoned or which remained unclaimed for a period of 30 days after having been taken into possession by the police department. If the property is usable for department operations, the property need not be sold at auction, but may become the property of the department.
